2019 Shop & Stroll Spectacular

When: Friday, December 6, 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Where: Downtown Statesville
Details: Visit Santa Central at City Hall with his elves while enjoying popcorn and hot cocoa. Horse-Drawn carriage rides take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $5 each. There will be a live Nativity at First ARP Church at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Warm up by the fire, roast a marshmallow and enjoy a s’more. Free train rides will take place at the Civic Center from 6 to 9 p.m. Enjoy Victorian Carolers and music roaming the streets to bring cheer. Historic Sharpe House will be open from 5:30 to 9 p.m. so you can take in seasonal decor, and enjoy holiday goodies and hot apple cider. Enjoy shopping and dining in the many local retailers in downtown Statesville.


Winter Family Festival

When: Friday, December 6, 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Where: Mooresville Intermediate School, 1438 Coddle Creek Highway, Mooresville
Details: The second annual Winter Family Festival includes pictures with Santa, hayrides, local musician Kayla Vega, special performance by the Mooresville Intermediate School chorus students, hot chocolate and s’mores and shopping at local vendors.


Mistletoe Sip & Shop

When: Friday, December 6, 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Downtown Mooresville
Details: Join Downtown Mooresville for a “Mistletoe Sip & Shop,” featuring a life-size snow globe for you to enter and have your picture taken, Barbershop Quartet and lots of unique and locally owned businesses with lots of specials, appetizers and more.


Breakfast with Santa

2019 Holiday Sip & Shop

When: Saturday, December 7, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.Where: Statesville Country Club, 635 Deauville Road, StatesvilleDetails: The Fourth Annual Holiday Sip & Shop at Statesville Country Club will feature over 30 local vendors with unique items that are perfect gifts just in time for the holidays. Tickets to the event are $5 and include access to the vendors, a cash bar and a raffle drawing that takes place every 15 to 20 minutes. There will also be a $15 ticket option that includes a soup and salad bar. Tickets may be purchased online at www.eventbrite.com or at the door.


Troutman Christmas Parade

When: Saturday, December 7, 11 a.m.
Where: Downtown Troutman
Details: Parade spectators are asked to bring unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots program. The toys will be collected in the trailer traveling behind Santa in the parade. Please consider helping out with this great program.


Living History Day: Winter Homesteading

When: Saturday, December 7, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Gregory Creek Homestead, 1335 Museum Road, Statesville
Details: This living history event will feature live educational interpretations of what life for the early settlers of the Carolinas may have been like. Experience kitchen life, participate in common children’s activities of the mid-18th Century, and peek inside historic cabins from Iredell and Alexander counties. Chocolate Tasting and Music in the Afternoon at Davesté

Live Christmas Nativity Bazaar

Where: Statesville Family YMCA, 828 Wesley Drive, Statesville
Details: There will be a live nativity, with a petting zoo from Zootastic Park. Games, face painting, food, a bounce house and so much more. Cost is $10 for individuals or $25 for families.


It’s a Very Tilley Christmas

Where: South Iredell High School, 299 Old Mountain Road, Statesville
Details: Join us as we present our first-ever Christmas show, “It’s a Very Tilley Christmas.” See all your favorite dancers perform to your favorite Christmas classics with some surprise visitors. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at Tilley’s Dance Academy.


Statesville Christmas Parade

When: Sunday, December 8, 3 p.m.
Where: Downtown Statesville
Details: Sponsored by the 30th Masonic District, the parade will begin at Bell Street and head down Center Street, where it will end at Statesville High School. Enjoy the many floats, cars, horses and more to kick-off the holiday season.
