Iredell-Statesville Schools and the Iredell County Health Department sent COVID-19 notifications to parents of students at 10 district schools last week.

An individual who spent time in the administrative offices on Race Street also tested positive, leading to notification of close contacts there as well.

Here is a summary of COVID-19 notifications for November 23-24:

November 23

● Cloverleaf Elementary: No close contacts.
● West Iredell High: Close contacts notified.
● Lake Norman High: Close contacts notified.
● Sharon Elementary: Close contacts notified.
● East Elementary: Close contacts notified.
● Pressly School: Close contacts notified.
● Race Street Administration: Close contacts notified.
● Central Elementary: Close contacts notified.
● Union Grove Elementary: Close contacts notified.
● North Iredell Middle: No close contacts.

November 24

● North Iredell High: No close contacts.
● Lake Norman High: Close contacts notified.
● Sharon Elementary: Close contacts notified.

Since August 10, 438 Iredell-Statesville Schools employees have quarantined. That represents 17 percent of the district’s faculty/staff. Some 95 faculty/staff members, or 4 percent of employees — have tested positive for COVID-19.
