A Harmony couple faces multiple felony charges after Iredell County Sheriff’s Office personnel conducted a drug raid on their home off Damron Lane.

Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrests of Tyrie Dwayne Blackburn, 41, and Lamanda Nickole Blackburn, 38, in a news release Monday.

The ICSO began investigating after receiving information that an individual, who investigators later identified as Tyrie Blackburn, was selling methamphetamine in the Harmony area, Campbell said.

During the investigation, narcotics investigators purchased methamphetamine directly from Tyrie Blackburn at his residence, according to the news release. During these purchases, Blackburn’s small child was also present, Campbell said.

On Friday, February 7, ICSO narcotics investigators and members of the ICSO Interstate Criminal Enforcement Team conducted executed a search warrant at 118 Damron Lane, according to the news release.

Upon the execution of the search warrant, investigators located Tyrie Blackburn, Lamanda Blackburn, and their small child inside the home, the sheriff said.

Investigators seized crystal methamphetamine, ecstasy tablets, clonazepam, subutex and a 9 mm handgun inside the residence, according to the news release.

Tyrie Blackburn and Lamanda Blackburn were arrested on scene and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center.

Tyrie Blackburn was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or distribute crystal methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule I controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling to sell controlled substance, felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and misdemeanor child abuse. Magistrate Nethken issued a $50,000 bond on these charges.

Lamanda Nickole Blackburn was charged with felony possession of schedule I controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, and misdemeanor child abuse. Magistrate Sanders issued an $8,000 bond for these charges.

Narcotics Investigators also contacted the Iredell County Department of Social Services, who responded to the scene and took the minor child into protective custody.
