The City of Statesville Planning Department will hold a public meeting for the proposed Bethlehem Road Relocation/New Access Road at Statesville Regional Airport. An in-person meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 28, from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Statesville Regional Airport Conference Room at 238 Airport Road.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide interested community members with an opportunity to review plans for the proposed new location of this roadway with the project team and to offer their comments regarding the project. The meeting format will be informal, and the public is invited to drop in any time between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to view the project display boards and discuss the project and potential impacts. Two build alternatives are being presented for review.

Your comments or questions regarding the proposed project may be discussed with the project team at the September 28 meeting, or provided via email to bethlehemroad@statesvillenc.net or by calling the City of Statesville Planning Department at (704) 878-3574.

Comments on this project are being accepted through October 17.

The proposed new location of the road will increase safety and connectivity for existing Bethlehem Road residents, as well as improve access to the airport which is expanding due to economic development in the region.
