COVID-19 death toll continues to rise in Iredell; next community vaccination clinic scheduled for January 29

The number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 continues to mount in Iredell County as the number of confirmed cases rapidly approaches 13,000.

The Iredell County Health Department reported two more deaths on Friday, following a total of nine others since Tuesday. A total of 163 people who have tested positive in the county since the pandemic began in March have now lost their lives.

With the addition of 200 new laboratory confirmed cases on Thursday and 194 more on Friday, there have now been a total of 12,943 confirmed cases in Iredell.

Fifty-six people who have tested positive are currently hospitalized throughout the county.

Upcoming Vaccine Clinic

The Iredell County Health Department will be administering COVID-19 vaccinations to people in phase 1A and people ages 65 and over on Friday, January 29, at Mazeppa Park in Mooresville starting at 10 a.m.
