Four suspects face charges following an Iredell County Sheriff’s Office investigation into drug activity at a home on Deep Water Road in northern Iredell County.

Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrests of the following individuals:

♦ Eugenio Mata Carbajal, 28, of Deep Water Road, Statesville;
♦ Eva Mata Carbajal, 28, of Deep Water Road, Statesville;
♦ Amanda Christine Wolowitz, 26, of 2944 Shady Reach Lane, Charlotte; and
♦ Webb Massey King, 44, of Frank Smith Mobile Home Park, Taylorsville

ICSO narcotics investigators began investigating after receiving information about illegal drug activity that was continuing after some of the suspects had been recently arrested and charged with methamphetamine related crimes.

The investigators began their investigation into the suspects and were able to make purchases of methamphetamine at the residence on Deep Water Road, Campbell said.

On Friday, March 5, ICSO personnel executed a search warrant at 120 Deep Water Road and seized crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, and hallucinogenic mushrooms, along with paraphernalia related to the sale and distribution of controlled substances, according to the news release.

Eugenio and Eva Carbajal and Wolowitz were located inside the home. They were taken into custody and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.

Eugenio Carbajal was charged with Felony Conspire to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, Felony Conspire to Traffic Methamphetamine, three counts of Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, and Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance. A $200,000 bond was issued by Magistrate Nethken.

Eva Carbajal was charged with Felony Conspire to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, and Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance. A $75,000 secured bond was issued by Magistrate Nethken.

Wolowitz was charged with Felony Conspire to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, and Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance. A $75,000 bond was issued by Magistrate Nethken.

Narcotics investigators obtained warrants charging King with Felony Conspire to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, Felony Conspire to Traffic Methamphetamine, four counts of Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance, and Felony Maintaining a Dwelling, or Motor Vehicle for the Use or Sale of a Controlled Substance. King was later located at another residence in Statesville and taken into custody. He was also taken to the Iredell County Detention Center. Magistrate Nethken issued a $225,000 secured bond on these charges.
