Iredell County Sheriff’s Office investigators solved multiple crimes and recovered stolen property after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen in northern Iredell County.

Sheriff Darren Campbell, in a news release on Friday, announced the arrests of the following suspects:

♦ Christopher Gage Handy, 25, of Turnersburg Highway, Statesville, charged with Felony Larceny, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Larceny of Motor Vehicle, Felony Larceny of Firearm, Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Felony Breaking or Entering, Felony Larceny after Breaking or Entering, Felony Obtain Property by False Pretense, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor Trespassing, Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Property. He was jailed in lieu of a $75,000 secured bond.

♦ Jonathan Ray Lowman, 36, of Lundy Road, Statesville, charged with Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Property. He was jailed in lieu of a $79,000 secured bond.

♦ Lane Alexander Perry, 28, of Lundy Road, Statesville, charged with Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Property. He was jailed in lieu of a $12,500 secured bond.

♦ Chelsea Nicole Millsaps, 30, of Lundy Road, Statesville, charged with Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Property. She was jailed in lieu of a $2,500 secured bond.

The ICSO began an investigation in October of 2021 after receiving a tip about property being used for illegal activities, Campbell said. After receiving this information investigators began to monitor the area by placing surveillance cameras on the property with the owner’s permission, according to the news release.

In March, investigators located and recovered a stolen vehicle and stolen tools, which were returned to their owners, Campbell said. Based on additional evidence obtained, the investigators identified the suspects, he said.

At the time of his arrest, Handy was on probation for two counts of Felony Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Larceny of a Firearm, and Felony Larceny After Breaking or Entering.

Perry was on probation for Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
