Two suspects face felony charges after Iredell County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators and members of the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence at 1957 Gay Street in Statesville.

Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrests of Melia Anthonia Luckey, 25, of Talley Street, Troutman, and Devon Joseph Jacquet, 32, of Gay Street, Statesville, in a news release.

ICSO narcotics investigators received information that individuals were actively distributing controlled substances at Gay Street residence, Campbell said.

Undercover investigators conducted surveillance operations to verify the information and then made purchases of various narcotics from persons at the home, according to the news release.

When the search warrant was executed on April 28, six subjects were located inside the home. A search of the residence yielded 20.2 grams of Ecstasy, 14.9 grams of crack cocaine, 1.3 grams of methamphetamine, and 104 grams of marijuana, along with four rifles, one handgun, a bulletproof vest, and U.S. currency, Campbell said.

Luckey and Jacquet were arrested on the scene and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center.

Luckey was charged with felony possession of cocaine and also served with three outstanding arrest warrants for failure to appear. She appeared before Magistrate Chambers, who issued a $4,700 secured bond.

Jacquet was charged with two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule I controlled substance, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance, and felony possession with intent to sell or seliver a schedule VI controlled substance. Magistrate Chambers issued a $50,000 secured bond on those charges.
