The Historic Sharpe House is planning its annual Mother’s Day Tea for Saturday, May 7. The outdoor event is held on the home’s beautiful back lawn.

Site Manager Keith Rhyne welcomes everyone to honor their mothers and grandmothers with an afternoon tea served in the Sharpe House’s signature Gilded Age style.

“It’s inspired by Downton Abbey,” he said. “Guests will enjoy freshly brewed black tea or apple juice for children and delicacies from our kitchen.”

Guests can choose from seatings at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at www.eventbrite.com through May 5 by 6:00 p.m. Adult tickets are $30, children 7-12 are $12, and 6 and under are free with paying adult.

Tickets for “Champagne for Two” are also available for purchase. Tickets for groups should be purchased by one buyer with all attendees listed.

There will also be a Mother’s Day raffle featuring an assortment of prizes for mom.

All proceeds go to The Silas Alexander Sharpe Foundation to maintain the Historic Sharpe House.
