Fantastic results. Statesville citizenry has spoken loud and clear. Thank you, Mike Fuhrman, for your informative and spot-on reporting of the facts. I am sure Mayor Hendrix will do a great job. Councilman Nicholson ran a fair and ethical race and we are lucky to have men like this to step up. There are a lot of new faces that will make this an exciting time as Statesville faces some very big decisions in the near future. Congratulations to all who ran their respective races.
A special thanks to all those who put themselves out there to improve our community. With young people like Corina, Shelton, Alex, Trey, and all the others stepping up to the plate, we have a bright future in Statesville. They did not all win, but they showed they care; they engaged and gave it their best. May they continue to make this community an even better place!!!
I, for one, find it simply appalling that less than 5,000 Statesville residents took the time and are concerned enough about local politics to go and vote! As a veteran and third generation Statesville native, it’s sickening. Don’t want to hear anyone complaining in a year when you’re not happy with something here.
I pay taxes, I’ll complain when I want.
As a longtime Statesville residents, it’s good to see how our town and county are continuing to do good. All boots were on the ground for this election, so hats off to all the candidates. Great job.
Congratulations to all of the winners in our local election, and thank you to the others who ran for Office even though unsuccessfully. We all want good government here. I believe this election has resulted in improvement in some of the seats, if not all. It is your time to lead now, Doug. We know you can do that well. Congratulations.
