Mooresville Mayor Chris Carney was re-elected Tuesday, but two incumbent town commissioners lost their seats, according to unofficial results.
Carney garnered 2,122 votes (49.58%) to win a second term. H. William Compton Jr. was second with 1,561 votes and Patrick Wright third with 526 votes.
In the Ward 3 race, challenger Frank Owens received 774 votes (52.02%) to defeat incumbent Tommy DeWeese, who garnered 706 votes.
In the Ward 4 race, Dana Tucker (534 votes) easily defeated incumbent Lisa Qualls (363 votes) and Justin Crews (227 votes).
At-Large Commissioner Gary West held onto his seat, garnering 1,861 votes (44.79%) to fend off challengers Scarlett Overbay-Inman (1,558 votes) and Eddie Wheeler (704 votes).




Now that the election is over, can we get them town hall tapes released to see what really happened in those wee hours?
