Ann Barger Thomas, 76, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. She was born December 19, 1943, in Rowan County to the late Berle W. and Laura Hess Barger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin “Tiny” Thomas; daughter, Laurie Ann Thomas; and brother, Larry V. Barger Sr.

Ann was a registered nurse at Lowrance Hospital, now known as Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, before her retirement. She enjoyed playing cards and family beach vacations. She loved her family and friends most of all. She always had a smile on her face and was willing to help anyone in need.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Beth Thomas; sister-in-law, Carol Knott Barger; niece, Dana Barger Dyson (Clay); nephew, Larry Barger Jr. (Sharon); great-niece, Brittany Dyson Bennett (Guy); and great-great-niece and nephew, Jovie and Luka Bennett.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, December 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Services will be on Sunday, December 22, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
