Dana Clark Thompson, 64, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at the Serenity House in Mooresville. He was born January 15, 1955, in Pasadena, Calif., to the late Robert Perry and Blanche Gryde Thompson.

He was a retired captain with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office in California. Dana was a man of faith which carried him through this journey. He loved being outdoors, watersports, working out, taking weekend trips to the mountains, and vacationing at tropical locations. Dana was very compassionate, had a quick wit, but most of all he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy J. Thompson; son, Corey Thompson (Stephanie); daughter, Loraine Crawford (Chad); sister, Patience Kramer; brother, Robert Thompson Jr.; grandchildren, Connor, Emmett, Payton, Everett, Charlotte, Rhys and Rosalie; nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs Brody and Shelby.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m on January 3 at Centre Presbyterian Church in Mooresville with Pastor Robert Howard officiating. A final celebration of life will be held on January 19 at his hometown in California.
