Betty Jane White Cook, 77, of Statesville, N.C., died on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 6, 1942, in Iredell County to the late Lewis White and Martha Estes White. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Lonnie Lambert and Paul Cook, and a son, Rickey Dale Lambert.

Betty was a member of Fern Hill Baptist Church. Her belief that cleanliness was next to Godliness was evident in her love to clean house. She loved flower gardening, cooking, wood crafting, hot dogs, being spoiled and going to the mountains. She was a people person and never met a stranger. She loved her family and her God.

Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Sheri Lippard (David) of Statesville; sons, Terry Lambert (Teresa) of Tennessee and Robin Lambert (Judy) of Hiddenite; a daughter-in-law, Debra Lambert of Statesville; a brother, Bob White; a sister, Brenda Wyatt; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 8, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Fern Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Jesse Stroud officiating. Burial will follow in the Fern Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
