Jennifer Diane Hill, 48, of Mocksville, N.C., passed away at Iredell Memorial Hospital on Sunday, July 19, 2020, and gained back the freedom to walk that had been taken away from her after years of battling Multiple Sclerosis. Born on March 24, 1972, to Loretta Hager Hill, who survives, and Wayne Lawson Hill, who passed away in February of 2015, Jennifer loved to make people smile and brighten their days.

Along with her mother, Loretta Hager Hill of Gastonia, Jennifer is survived by a brother, Cary Richard Hill of China Grove.

After becoming disabled, Jennifer lived with her parents and then moved into an assisted living community. As the youngest resident of Davie Rehab and Skill Nursing in Mocksville, Jennifer was lovingly given the title of “Ring Leader” because she loved to make people around her smile or laugh, and she always had a joke to tell. Jennifer was very motivated and made it known that she had the disability, the disability did not have her. She said “I will walk until I can’t walk anymore” and she did. She was always positive and even though she struggled at times she always said, “This is what I’ve been dealt, so I have to deal with it.”

Jennifer was outspoken and just enjoyed life. To know Jennifer was to love her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. MS took a lot away from Jennifer but it could not take her spirit or her kindness.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Iredell Memorial Hospital for the amazing care they gave to Jennifer as well as the staff at Davie Rehab and Skill Nursing Home.

2 Timothy 4:7: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home is serving the family.
