Larry Douglas Freeze, 77, of Denver, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020.

He was born on September 15, 1943, in Iredell County to the late Earl and Daisy Gabriel Freeze. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening and the outdoors. He was a carpenter all his life. His friends and family meant a lot to him. He never met a stranger, and all friends were friends for life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tom, Cleo, Homer, Rufus, Joe, Boyce, Cecil, and Don Freeze.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Newton Freeze; sister, Linda Morrison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Webb’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Denver, N.C., with Rev. John Yeager officiating.

Mr. Freeze will lie in state all day Friday, September 18, 2020, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
