Mrs. Pearlie Willine Malcolm, 89, of Troutman, N.C. passed away on May 7, 2020, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born on January 20, 1931, in Wilkes County, she was the daughter of the late James Royad and Maude Ledbetter Luffman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Washington Malcolm Jr.; a sister, Lula Mae Norman; her daughter, Dotty Sue Denney; and her brothers, James, Jessie and Paul Luffman.

She was a member of Troutman Baptist Church and retired from Troutman Industry.

Mrs. Malcolm is survived by her son, Danny Malcolm and his wife Phyllis of Hudson, N.C.; her sister, Pauline Caudle of Elkin, N.C.; and her grandsons, Brandon Malcolm of Kannapolis, N.C., Brian Malcolm of Hudson, N.C., Robbie Luffman of South Carolina and Michael Denney of Claremont, N.C. She is also survived by a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Malcolm will lie in repose on Monday, May 11, 2020, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home in Statesville. In addition, she will lie in repose on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. A private funeral will be conducted by Pastor John Stevenson. She will be interred at Iredell Memorial Gardens in a private ceremony.
