Roger Leslie Hall, 80, of Conover, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2020.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on July 21, 1940, he was the son of the late Ralph Leslie Hall and Theresa Pillino Hall. He married Beverly Virginia Warren on June 18, 1977, in Gainesville, Fla.

Roger was a veteran of the United States Army. Since retiring as an auto mechanic with the City of Hickory, Roger enjoyed camping and traveling with friends and family, especially internationally. Roger was a member of Gates to Zion Ministries, and he loved traveling to Israel returning to his Hebraic Roots, strengthening his faith in Yeshua. He was known for sharing wonderful stories with friends and family. When at home, Roger could be found tinkering with his many projects around the house. He cherished his family and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Roger will be missed by all.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his son, Roger Leslie Post, and a brother, Ralph Leslie Hall.

In addition to his wife of 43 years, Roger is survived by six daughters, Lynette Schmelyan and Lorrie Snodgrass of Jensen Beach, Fla., Abraya Johnson (Jay) of Davidson, Robbin Ramseur (Lyndon) and Sabrina Whittington of Hickory, and Jacqueline Jimenez of Burleson, Texas. Also surviving, thirteen grandchildren, Chris Scott, Andrew Scott, Jaiden Ramseur, Harrison Johnson, Lucette Johnson, David Whittington (Allie), Sarah Whittington, Sophia Hall, Andrew Schmelyan, Rachel Peach (Daniel), Jordon Snodgrass, Jocelyn Johnson (Jeff), and Jeremy Post, along with six great-grandchildren, Luca Scott, Elijah and Stephen Whittington, Conley, Lexi, and Gage Johnson.

Roger L. Hall valiantly served his country during the Vietnam War. A graveside service with full military honors will be held Monday, October 26, at 10 a.m. at Salisbury National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harrison Johnson, Jay Johnson, Jaiden Ramseur, Petr Hasa, Doug Morrison, and Carl Wilson.
