Theron Hale, 67, of Davenport, Fla., passed away May 15, 2020, at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville, N.C.

He was born April 21, 1953 in Fort Myers, Fla., the son of the late Haywood and Mary Hale. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Hale.

Theron lettered in track and then graduated from Scotland High School in Laurinburg, N.C., and followed his education with an associates degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design. He then worked with numerous companies and with the City of Orlando in Florida. Drawing and Painting were both hobbies he deeply enjoyed, which showcased his creativity.

During Vietnam, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Most of all, he was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His charismatic nature, sense of humor and beautiful personality will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 33 years, Starr Blue Hale of Davenport, Fla.; sons, Theron Hale II, Lamont Hale, and James Hale; extended family, Jerry Carpenter, Gregory Carpenter and Jeffery Carpenter; brothers, Alexander, Henry, Walter “Splunk”, Lessie, Brooks and Leroy Hale; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous other loving family and friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial may be made to the local Humane Society of one’s choice.
