Alice Lorene Furkey Crankshaw, 81, of Statesville, N.C., and formerly of Jackson, Miss., passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at her residence. Born July 15, 1939 in Jackson County, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Albert Lindsey Furkey and Mary Lorene Weber Furkey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Crankshaw on July 26, 2000; one son, Keith E. Crankshaw in 1982; one great-grandchild, Kayson; three brothers; and four sisters.

Mrs. Crankshaw worked many years as a bookkeeper in the retail industry.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, R. Scott Crankshaw of Sanford, N.C., and Allen L. Crankshaw of Statesville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Ryan S. Crankshaw, Stacey (Tyler) Duff and Meagan D. Crankshaw; and four great-grandchildren, Aiden, Zeb, Beckham and Graelynn.

The family will receive friends at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home in Statesville, N.C., on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, and Wednesday, May 19, 2021, from 4 to 6 p.m.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Jackson, Miss. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
