Mrs. Chasity Nicole Summers Davidson, beloved daughter of Beulah Mae Summers Smith and the late Calvin Lewis Smith, was born in Iredell County on July 12, 1974. She departed this life unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, March 8, 2021.

She attended the Statesville High School and Standard Outreach. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Dewayne Davidson.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, in addition to her mother, Beulah Summers Smith of Salisbury, one daughter, Makayla Shanelle Shuford (Kenneth Jones) of the home; a step-son, DeAnthony Roeqoun Davidson of Statesville; a godson, Kenzo “Pee Wee” Davis (Misty Carruth) of Charlotte; two brothers, Quincy Carruth of Charlotte and Vincent (Laura) Summers of Gastonia; a sister, Yolanda Summers of Salisbury; brothers-in-law, Michael (Jessica) Davidson and Marcus Davidson, both of Mooresville; seven grandchildren, including Kenneth Jones and Kamon Jones; aunts and uncles, including Raymond Smith Jr., Brenda Millsaps and Patricia Kent; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life and Interment Services will be held at The Belmont Cemetery on Friday, March 12, 2021, at 2 p.m. Pastor Rufus Connor will officiate.

There will be no public visitation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, has been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services.

General Public Viewing will be from 3 until 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2021, and resume on Friday morning, March 12, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
