Mrs. Cheri Marie Hinson Tyler, beloved daughter of the late Rick and Trudy Shaffer Hinson, was born on August 3, 1978. She departed this life unexpectedly on January 30, 2021, at her home.
She attended high school and at the time of her death was employed by RPM Plastics. She loved music and enjoyed playing the flute.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life her husband, Stewart Tyler of Statesville; two children, Devin Tyler and Quinn Tyler, both of the home; two sisters, Sonny Lynn Grant of Stony Point and Catherine White of Melbourne, Fla.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

My sympathy to the whole family. I taught Cheri at Statesville Middle and remember her as so smart, kind, and helpful at all times. Her smile and willingness to work hard made her a joy to teach.
