Eleanor Elaine Campbell Templeton, 85, of Statesville, N.C., passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Rosewood Assisted Living in Harmony, N.C. She was born September 30, 1935, in Iredell County, N.C., the daughter of the late Silas W. Campbell and Nannie Bell Wallace Campbell.

She was also preceded in death by her two husbands, Roger D. Templeton and Tommy Williams; brothers, Wilford Campbell, Brice Campbell and JB Campbell; and sister, Alma Crater.

Eleanor was a life long member of Sandy Ridge United Methodist Church and a lady of faith. She retired after a 30-year career with J.P. Stephens, a textile company in Statesville. She enjoyed gardening, grew vegetables that she later canned in her kitchen, and she loved to collect depression glass. Most of all, she was devoted to her family and loved spending time in their company.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Barry Templeton and wife Pattie and Mike D. Templeton and wife Cynthia; grandchildren, Nicole Ziecik (Michael), Katie Collins (Cliff), Lisa Ross and Lesley Keith; twelve great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2021, at Sandy Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1497 Friendship Road, Statesville, NC 28677 with Pastor David Locke Officiating.
