Frances Brown Sipes, 80, of Mooresville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on September 7, 2021.
She was born on August 13, 1941, in Mooresville to the late JD and Annie Hucks Brown. Frances loved to play Bingo. She loved flowers and windchimes. Frances was a wonderful cook and was well known for her homemade biscuits. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchilden. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leon Sipes; son Warren Sipes; brothers, Bud Brown (Sue), JD Brown (Marilyn), and David Brown (Sheila); sisters, Bobbie Ervin (Kenneth), Dot Sexton (Tex), and Betty Mae Brown.
She is survived by her children, Robert Sipes (Deb Heck), Michael Sipes (Deborah), Annette Davis (Jack), Rhonda Kendrick (Scott), Alan Sipes (Tammy) and Kelly Huffman (Jeff); grandchildren, Matthew Sipes, Michelle Bryant, Brandon Sipes, Joshua Sipes, Dustin Sipes, Jay Davis, Wesley Davis, Ashley Davis, Cody Sipes, Hillary Galliher, Aaron Overcash, Ryan Overcash, Autumn Kendrick, Taylor Reavis, and Kayleigh Reavis; 13 great-grandchilren; sister, Judy Cooke (Larry), and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and Crematory. The funeral service will held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Eddie Karriker officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park. Due to Covid-19, masks will be required.
