Geraldine Lyles Karriker, 92, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at the Citadel at Mooresville surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 2, 1928 in Mooresville to the late James Rufus and Manie Gurley Lyles.

Mrs. Karriker was retired from General Times and a member of Centre Presbyterian Church in Mooresville. She enjoyed playing the piano and working in the yard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wyatt Karriker; sisters, Estel Brown, Velna Reid, and Bobbie Collins; brothers, Arthur Lyles, Quentin Lyles, and Clyde Lyles; daughter-in-law, Donna Karriker; and great grandson, Jeremiah Karriker.

She is survived by her children, Kenton Karriker, and Sherry Raborn and husband Scott; grandchildren, Jamie Karriker and wife Angie, Katie Hilderbran, Brent Raborn and wife Christian; great grandchildren, Victoria Turner and Carly Raborn; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved four-legged companion, Baby.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Centre Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Robert Howard officiating.
