Jerry William Marlow, 75, of Statesville, N.C., passed away in his home with his family by his side on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. He was born on February 12, 1945, in Lick Creek, Tenn., to the late John and Dorothy Wright Marlow.

He was a loving husband, father, and papaw. He always put his family first. He was always smiling and everyone loved his sense of humor. He continually demonstrated small acts of kindness and generosity. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and his workshop. This world will be a little dimmer without him, but his light will shine to anyone fortunate to know him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene Marlow, Marce Marlow, and Joe Marlow; and sister, Jewell Ray.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie Jean Marlow; children, Darren Marlow (Dana), Derinda Carpenter (Rick), and Darla Brotherton (Anthony); granddaughter, Lauren Lane; grandsons, Dalton Marlow, Dylan Marlow, and Tyler Brotherton; and six great grandchildren.
