John Wallace Hall, Jr., 77, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on December 31, 2020. He was born on October 15, 1943, in Charlotte, N.C., to the late John Wallace Hall and Evelyn Maye Hall.

Mr. Hall enjoyed classic cars, motorcycles, and racing. He was known as an exceptionally talented furniture restorer and never met an animal he didn’t love, especially his fur baby, Murphy. Mr. Hall always enjoyed time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hall was preceded in death by a son, John Wallace Hall III.

He is survived by his daughter Jill Nesbit (Brian); grandchildren, Amanda Slater (Chris), Arin Farb (Jonathan), John Wallace Hall IV, and Zane, Alex and Cory Nesbit; great-grandchildren, Alexa and Christopher Slater; sisters, Elizabeth DeFravio, Jo Ann Young, Carolyn Smith, Dorothy Caudle and Brenda Cates (Jerry); and daughter-in-law, Ann Hall Peterson (Eric).

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church in Mooresville. Due to COVID-19, the family and church ask that everyone please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Rocky Mount United Methodist Church, 1739 Perth Road, Mooresville, NC 28117.
