Kimberly Michelle Parks, 48, of 506 Grove Road, Statesville, N.C., passed away at Catawba Valley Hospice House on Saturday, March 6, 2021, following a brief illness. She was born in Iredell County on November 21, 1972, and was the daughter of the late Jule Ray Parks and Lucille Morrison Parks.

She attended South Iredell High School and enjoyed fishing, playing cards, cooking and listening to old school music.

She leaves to remember and celebrate her life one son, Jule Kemore Parks of the home; one daughter, Ivoryanna Parks of the home; one brother, Derrick Parks of Statesville; three sisters, Jeanetta Wilkins, Tracy (David) Ferguson and Tasheba Parks, all of Statesville; a friend, Jacobi Carter of Statesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Rev. Ferguson will officiate and burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.

There will be no public visitation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, has been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services.

General viewing will be from 3 until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, and resume on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 FROM 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
