Nancy Lipe Johnston, 90, of Troutman, N.C., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 28, 2021. She was born on December 16, 1930, in Rowan County, to the late Glen and Pearl Stutts Lipe.

Mrs. Johnson was a loving mother and always giving of herself to everyone. Nancy loved to cook and work in her flowers. She always had a hug or a kiss on top of the head to show her love or to give support when needed. She had an undying love for her lord Jesus Christ. She graduated from Brawley High School and retired from Burlington Industries in Mooresville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James (Jim) Johnston; daughter, Aleha Little; twin sister, Malinda Current; and brother, Robert Lipe (Bob).

She is survived by her grandson, Jonathan Little; and son-in-law, David Little of Troutman. Mrs. Johnston is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 30. The family will greet friends from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. at Berea Baptist Church Mooresville, N.C., with Rev. Dan Freeman and Rev. Lawrence Ownbey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
