Mary “Louise” Dehart Brown, 80, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022. She was born on January 2, 1942, in Bryson City, N.C., to the late Thomas and Beatrice Smith Dehart.

She loved her family deeply and would drop anything to help them. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a kind and loving heart, and she didn’t know a stranger. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Brown.

She is survived by her children, James Michael Brown (Kristie) of Mt. Pleasant, Sandra Gay Brown of Statesville, Tina Brown Clontz of Cleveland, and David Lamont Brown of Mooresville; brother, Eulius Dehart; sisters, Lillian Sloop and Margie Patterson; grandchildren, Cindy, Ryan, Janna, Shannon, Nicholas and McKenna; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Glenwood Memorial Park with Rev. Dieter Punt officiating.
