Margaret Virginia White Tucker, 88, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at her residence. She was born on February 27, 1937, in Iredell County to Tom White and Vera Scott. She was a member at Shiloh AME Zion Church in Statesville.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Garland Tucker Jr.; and many brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Lester Tucker, Larry Tucker (Yvette), Jeffery Tucker and Everette Tucker; daughter, Robin Tucker; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Doris Naomi Crosby; brother-in-law, John Tucker; sisters-in-law, Doris Tucker and Nellie Kimbrough; and special friend, Lavon Davidson.

The funeral service for Mrs. Tucker will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, beginning at 1 p.m. at Shiloh AME Zion Church. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service, from 12 noon until 1 p.m. The family will assemble at the residence at other times. Interment will follow at Belmont Cemetery.
