Violet Hicks Chapman, 75, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Wednesday May, 7, 2025 at Iredell Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Violet was born in Fort Wayne, Ind., on January 6, 1950, to the late Chester Ray Hicks and Lottie Hicks. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Brett Allen Chapman.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Bobby Ray Chapman of the home; three sons, Derick Tyler Chapman, John Edmund Chapman, and Robert Pernell Chapman; and one daughter, Pamela Sue Chapman; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Services are incomplete at this time.
