Nicholas Kulikowsky Jr., 61, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Nick was born on March 25, 1964, in Youngstown, Ohio, to the late Nickolas Kulikowsky and Patricia Ann Colgan Kulikowsky.
He was a graduate of West Branch High School and W.C. Smith Vocational School. He served as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy, BU2 (E5). Some of the medals he received while serving, included the Navy Achievement, Good Conduct, Sea Service with Bronze Star, Pistol Expert, and Rifle Marksman. After leaving the Navy, he began working as an electrical apprentice and then moved up to electrical superintendent. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, doing car repairs, woodworking and yard work.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Natalie Bolick; grandchildren, Owen Kulikowsky and Anthony Gonzalez.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Zoraida Gonzalez Kulikowsky; son, Chad A. Kulikowsky; daughters, Brinti Kulikowsky Peterson, Jasmin Kulikowsky and Xochilt Kulikowsky; sisters, Mary Ann Alexander, Cindy Cook and Victoria Jarvis; grandchildren, Levi Kulikowsky, Austin Kulikowsky, Madison Peterson, Kaydence Peterson, Sutton Peterson, Adriana Gonzalez, Alana Gonzalez and Noah Gonzalez; stepchildren, Dennis Hernandez and Isabella L. Gonzalez.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 3 until 4 p.m. Burial will take place at the National Cemetery of Salisbury at a later date, with full military honors.
