Statesville native Kasi Mitchell Douthit has joined the staff at Nicholson Funeral Home as a funeral director.

A graduate of North Iredell High School, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University and then completed the funeral director program at Fayetteville Technical Community College.

Douthit has worked in the funeral industry since 2016 and became licensed in 2018. In addition to nearly a decade of experience and professionalism, she also offers a genuine care and compassion to serve the families of her hometown.

Outside of work, Douthit enjoys visiting different State Parks across North Carolina and going hiking with her husband Phillip and their dog Heidi. She also loves quilting.
