The Mooresville Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred in the area of Lookout Point Place in which two groups exchanged gunfire. No injuries were reported.
Officers responded to the area on May 16 after receiving a report of shots being fired, according to an MPD news release.
A caller reported that the occupants of a Dodge Charger were exchanging gunfire with individuals on foot.
As officers were arriving at the scene, they observed a Dodge Charger leaving the area, police said.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and located two firearms, according to the news release.
Three male occupants were in the Dodge Charger and were arrested on the following charges:
♦ Brandon Samir Adams, 18, charged with discharging a firearm in city limits and possession of marijuana;
♦ Ja’Cory Dashawn Kirkland,19, charged with discharging a firearm in city limits; and
♦ Justin Smith Davidson, 20, discharging a firearm in city limits, possession of drug paraphernalia, and Felony possession of Marijuana.
Additional charges may be filed by the MPD.
