From the moment Nick and Lacie met in 2014, their connection was undeniable. It was instant and electric — the kind of love that felt like destiny. They knew, without question, that they had found their soulmate in one another. Through life’s ups and downs, they stood side by side, each other’s rock.
Lacie often spoke about how giddy Nick made her feel, describing him with the same spark in her eyes as a high school girl seeing her crush across a room — or, in her case, across a football field, watching Nick coach with pride and admiration.
Lacie’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment in life was being a mother to her four beautiful children. She was their loudest cheerleader, their fiercest protector, and their most loyal advocate. Whether it was a sign taped across the house to celebrate a birthday or a hand-drawn poster for a school achievement, Lacie never missed a chance to show her love and support. She fought tirelessly for her children’s health, navigating allergies and challenges with a quiet strength and unwavering devotion.
Though she battled her own health struggles privately, Lacie never let them define her or slow her down. She refused to let anyone worry about her, always putting her family’s needs ahead of her own. Her home was a place of comfort and care, where laundry might land back in the same basket, but it was clean and ready, and the environment was always safe for her children. She found joy in every moment of their lives — beaming with pride at Emerson’s cheer competitions and shouting louder than anyone in the stands when Eli took the football field. She smiled through Ellis’ fear of missing out and fast potty training, and she lovingly embraced Everix’s “my way or the highway” spirit.
In the fall of 2024, life brought Lacie another unexpected gift: a lifelong friend. On the sidelines of a youth football field, she met Kelsey Crowdes while their husbands, Nick and Joe, coached their sons together. Lacie and Kelsey bonded instantly, quickly becoming inseparable. From daily phone calls about what the kids were doing, to venting about their husbands, to debating the plays that should’ve been called in the last game, they shared everything. Lacie never hesitated to lend a hand, big or small. If someone needed help, she showed up.
Lacie loved Kelsey with all her heart. What began as friendship quickly grew into family. The Crowdes and Parker families became beautifully blended, sharing meals, milestones, game days, and everyday chaos. If you saw the Parkers out and about, chances are the Crowdes family wasn’t far behind. Together, they built a community of love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Beyond her family, Lacie had one more true love that everyone knew about: the South Carolina Gamecocks. Her loyalty was unmatched, her passion unmistakable. There was only one team in her heart, and she made sure everyone around her knew it. Orange was forbidden in her home — an unspoken rule the kids learned quickly. For Lacie, being a Gamecock wasn’t just about football; it was about pride, tradition, and being unapologetically herself.
Her love, her laughter, her fierce spirit, and her unwavering devotion to her family will forever be cherished. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, warmth, and joy that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her best.
