Wendy Marie Loper Hatton, 44, of Maiden, N.C., left this world all too soon on Saturday May 31, 2025, after a tragic accident.
Born on November 24, 1980, in Marion, N.C., Wendy was the cherished daughter of the late Robin Eugene Loper and Gena Lucille Loper.
Wendy dedicated her life to caring for animals, working as a Veterinary Technician for over 20 years. Most recently, she shared her compassion and expertise at Bethlehem Animal Clinic. Known for her adventurous spirit and childlike wonder, Wendy found joy in the simple beauty of nature. She especially loved hiking with her husband Jacob through the North Carolina mountains in search of waterfalls. She also had a passion for traveling, cruising, and watching horror movies. A talented gardener, she nurtured her plants with the same care she gave to everything in her life.
Above all, Wendy treasured her role as a mother. Her daughters, Alexandria and Avery, were the light of her life, and she loved nothing more than caring for and spending time with them.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of three years, Jacob Kyle Hatton; precious daughters, Alexandria Warnock and Avery Warnock; sisters, Stephanie (Shane) Privette and Melissa (Nate) Souther; five grandchildren, Tala Davis, Aria Davis, Orion Davis, Rohnin Davis, and Celeste Davis; and her beloved fur baby, Lunabelle.
A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at East Iredell Lions Club Community Park, 336 River Hill Road Statesville, NC 28625.
