Hannah Grace Lester, born on October 12, 1998, in the heart of Iredell County, N.C., left us all unexpectedly entertained and utterly perplexed on May 28, 2025. At the tender age of 26, she packed up her tackle box and embarked on her greatest adventure yet.

Hannah’s life was a delightful blend of earnest labor and whimsical passion. As a packer in the manufacturing industry, she took the art of packing to new heights, ensuring that every item she handled was wrapped and ready with precision and care. But it wasn’t just her professional skills that made her exceptional; it was her ability to tackle life with the same gusto she applied to her favorite pastime—fishing. If there was a body of water, Hannah was likely found nearby, casting a line and dreaming of the one that got away.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Bradford Lester.

Her love for squish melons was matched only by her devotion to her family. Hannah held a special place in her heart for her beloved Papa, her rock and guiding star. Her world revolved around her cherished family members, including her doting mother, Ava Louise Fulwood; her steadfast father, Jason Bradford Lester; her ever-wise grandmother, Janey Lester; her maternal grandparents, Steve and Melinda Fulwood; her two brothers, Elija and Mason Everhart; her sister, Natalie Micaela Lester, who was both her partner in mischief and confidante; her lifelong friend, Cameron Patterson; and her special and favorite cousin, Cole Kurfees.

Hannah’s education began at Mooresville Senior High School, followed by other journeys through the halls of Mooresville Schools, where she charmed teachers and students alike with her quick wit and infectious laughter. Though her time with us was brief, Hannah left behind a legacy of humor, warmth, and an unerring ability to make everyone feel like they were part of her family. She may have reeled in her last fish on earth, but somewhere beyond, she’s undoubtedly casting a line into celestial waters, smiling as her stories ripple out through eternity.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
