James Michael Leach, 63 of Statesville, N.C., passed away peacefully at his home on June 12, 2025. He was born on September 26,1961.

He attended Iredell County Schools. He worked at W.R. Vernon Produce Company in Winston-Salem, N.C., for many years. He was a beloved brother, uncle and friend to so many people. His name was James but everyone called him “Wimpy.” He was a very hard worker, funny, and outspoken person. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert Leach and Virginia Leach; siblings, Doris Leach, Shirley Leach, Sylvester Leach, Larry Leach, Ralph Leach, Nathien Leach, Eric Leach, and Tommy Leach; and one nephew, Kevin Boller, all of Statesville, N.C.

He is survived by one sister, Linda Boller of Statesville; and two brothers, Steven Leach and Ricky Leach, all of Statesville, N.C. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

During James’s illness, he was taken care of by Jo and Shenika. The family would like to acknowledge Gordon Hospice House for the care and support they provided for our love one.
