Shelva Setzer Lockamy, 88, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Shelva was born February 17, 1937, to the late Jack Ray Setzer and the late Odessa Hartness Setzer. She graduated from Cool Spring High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Douglas Lockamy Sr.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Janet L. Danyels (Alex); son, Robert “Doug” Lockamy Jr.; grandson, Joseph Ray Lockamy; granddaughter, Tara Eades (Eric); great-grandchildren, Amalie Eades, Chandler Forrest, Caleb Forrest, and Jada Hughes; and sister, Deloris Swicegood (Billy).

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 23, at Troutman Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Pope officiating. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 9 until 10 am. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
