Troutman Police Department and Troutman Fire Rescue personnel responded to a vehicle fire in the Wendy’s parking lot off Charlotte Highway about 4:37 p.m. Friday.

TPD officers were first on the scene but were unable to extinguish the well involved fire with their fire extinguishers. Troutman Engine 1 arrived and stretched one hose line and extinguished the fire.

The two occupants of the vehicle escaped unharmed.
