The Full Bloom Film Festival will host a special screening of the iconic documentary “Woodstock” on Tuesday, July 8, at 7 p.m. at the Iredell Arts Council.
Directed by Michael Wadleigh and edited by Martin Scorsese, “Woodstock” chronicles the legendary 1969 music festival that defined a generation. The film features unforgettable performances from artists like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Who, and Santana, while offering a powerful, behind-the-scenes look at the cultural and political landscape of late 1960s America.
Winner of the 1971 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, “Woodstock” is widely regarded as one of the greatest concert films of all time. With its innovative editing, sweeping cinematography, and message of peace and unity, the film remains a towering achievement in documentary filmmaking and counterculture history.
The Iredell Arts Council is located at 203 S. Meeting Street in Statesville.
