Charles McCombs, 76, of Harmony, N.C., passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C.

Charley was born on September 9, 1948, to the late Rosco McCombs and Vangie White McCombs. He worked as a groundskeeper for Tyson Foods.

Charley loved fishing, hunting, and restoring anything he could put his hands on. He loved riding his motorcycle and horses. He loved playing music on multiple instruments. He loved his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tammara Taylor McCombs; son, Jonathan McCombs (Amber); granddaughter, Kraylynn McCombs; grandson, Holden Snyder; sister, Joann; half-brother, Eddie; and stepchildren, Magedalina Moraslos, Jim, Pratt, and Vickie.

In addition to his parents, Charley was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen, Elsie, and Bertha.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Light in the Darkness, 230 E. Memorial Highway in Harmony, N.C., with Rev. Ernest Bruce officiating. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. until 12 noon. Burial will follow at Harmony City Cemetery.
