Ripple Fiber, a Charlotte-based provider of high-speed fiber internet services, has acquired BridgeNET Fiber and plans to expand the network throughout Statesville, where the provider is headquartered.
BridgeNET will continue to operate the market, empowered with the capital and a toolset to support rapid expansion.
“Since launching, BridgeNET has passed over 3,000 homes, built real momentum, and proved they can stack up to competitors in the region on quality and pace. They have kept their customers close and executed their own installations, while remaining grounded in local partnerships,” said Greg Wilson, founder and CEO of Ripple Fiber. “As a result of this acquisition, Statesville residents will get the fiber internet they deserve, supporting BridgeNET’s mission to expand digital access across the community.”
Taylor Brown, the founder and president of BreidgeNet, is now the managing director of Ripple Fiber’s Statesville network. In his new role, Brown will remain focused on bridging the digital divide for his fellow residents and upholding his values of service and community investment.
The projected fiber footprint for the City of Statesville is over 18,000 locations. The existing Statesville-based team will continue to lead operations in the market.
With Ripple Fiber’s 10Gig, 100 percent fiber optic network, residents have access to a strong, dependable network. Whether using Wi-Fi for remote work, online learning, gaming, or video streaming, customers can expect exceptional bandwidth and symmetrical upload and download speeds. Known for transparent pricing without contracts or hidden fees, Ripple Fiber offers Price for Life on the multigig package options, with 1 Gig and 2 Gig priced competitively.
“BridgeNET Fiber started as a simple idea. I wanted to bring real fiber internet to a community that the bigger players always seemed to skip over. Every address mattered, and we earned trust one install at a time,” Brown said. “Now, as part of Ripple Fiber, we get to bring that same energy to a much bigger platform. We’re still focused on our community, still leading with the same team, and still doing things our way on the ground, but with the scale, capital, and backing to really go the distance.”
All existing BridgeNET customers have begun receiving direct communications from Ripple Fiber. As the project progresses, residents in the current and upcoming service areas will be notified via mailed letters, door hangers, or both, with additional details on package options and construction expectations.
Residents are encouraged to stop by the retail office located at 215 S. Tradd Street in Statesville or call 704-228-1001. Those who would like to learn more about Ripple Fiber’s offerings or sign up for service are encouraged to visit ripplefiber.com.
