Larkie Leon Turner, 84, was born in Catawba County, N.C., on April 4, 1941, to the late James Early Turner and Etta Burton Turner. He departed this life on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Taylorsville House.

He worked as a handyman in a factory textile company. He loved to go fishing.

Larkie leaves to cherish the memories of his life four daughters, Cheria Turner and D’Adra Turner, and Vickie Turner, all three of Statesville, and Gretchen Turner Parker of Salisbury; one son, Jeffrey (Valerie) Turner of Sherrills Ford; eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a special cousin, Donnie Little; and a host of specials nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
