Special to IFN
It’s time to kick it for a great cause!
Join Girls on the Run Greater Piedmont for the Kicks and Roses Sneaker Soiree! The 7th annual event will be held October 4 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Breezy Meadows Farm in Mooresville. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The derby-inspired soiree will feature a night full of empowerment and inspiration. There will be fun for the whole family to enjoy including a DJ, photo booth, games, keynote speakers and a few special guests. There will also be a silent auction filled with premiere items as well as a live auction.
Girls on the Run Greater Piedmont provides a safe space for girls in 3rd – 8th grades to learn life skills, helping them navigate life’s social, emotional, and physical challenges. Donations and funds raised at the Sneaker Soiree will allow Girls on the Run Piedmont to continue providing scholarships to 37% of program participants, removing financial barriers so all girls have an equal opportunity to participate.
The organization serves more than 550 girls at sites across nine counties each year.
The Kicks and Roses Sneaker Soiree will raise funds to support program advancement and scholarship funds to increase inclusion so every girl can experience the transformative social and emotional impact of Girls on the Run regardless of financial barriers.
