James “Buck” Alexander Brown, 79, of Stony Point, N.C., passed away Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House following an extended illness. James was born in Iredell County on December 24, 1945, to the late James Robert Brown and Maude Elizabeth Douglas Brown.

James was a truck driver and of the Methodist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert (Bob) Brown, and two sisters, Patricia Short and Ann Walker.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 49 years, Cynthia Ann Harwell Brown of the home; one daughter, Angela Brown Wishon (Carma) of Stony Point; one grandson, Dalton Wishon and wife Kendra; one great granddaughter, Everlee Wishon; and one great step grandson, Austin Eberly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
