La-Fretta Yvonne Frazier, 66, peacefully entered eternal rest on August 5, 2025. She was born on March 8, 1959, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Robert Lee Frazier and Ada Bell Oakley Frazier Staton.
La-Fretta was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose love and strength were the foundation of her family. A hardworking and determined woman, she was the proud owner and operator of Sunshine Quick Cleaner, where she built lasting relationships with her customers and community. She was also the beloved widow of the late Henry Knox, with whom she shared many cherished years.
She leaves to celebrate her life and legacy her loving sons, Christopher (Kimberly) Frazier, Derrise (Jenae) Frazier, Markus (Shannon) Leach, and Kerry (Michelle) Leach. Her spirit and joy live on through her grandchildren, Christopher Frazier Jr., Tatyana Frazier, Dorian Smith, Amani Leach, and Nyia Leach.
She is also survived by her devoted sisters, Barbara Carpenter, Beverly Wilson, Bernetta Caymitte, and Marisia Rambert (McArthur); brothers Wallace Staton and Marlon Staton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 1 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church. Visitation will precede the service from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Belmont Cemetery. Bishop Christopher E. Daniels will officiate the service.
La-Fretta will be remembered for her unwavering faith, warm heart, and the love she poured into everyone around her. Her legacy of resilience and compassion will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
