Mr. Walker Arneal Peet, 64, of Statesville, N.C., who was affectionately known as “June,” entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 3, 1961 to the late Walker Robert Peet and Mildred Viola Turner Peet.

He was married to Deidra Lynn Davis Peet, who survives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Robert Peet, Wade Peet, John Marvin Turner, Douglas Milton Peet and Richard Peet; a sister, Daphne Peet; a niece, Mildred Peet; and a brother-in-law, Eddie Parks.

June attended the Iredell County School System. He worked many years for Statesville Roofing Company. He was a faithful member of Highland Acres Church of Christ. June’s life was a testament to the power of family, friendship. He loved gardening, fishing and his favorite football team was the Miami Dolphins. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

June leaves to cherish the memories of his life, his wife, Deidra Peet of the home; his daughter, Tanisha Davis Peet of Statesville; five sisters, Estella (Johnny) Dalton, Judy Parks, Reatha Peet, Darcy Peet and Della Peet; and two grandsons, Morando Marshall Jr. and Ian Marshall; along with a host of nephews and nieces, cousins, other beloved relatives and dear friends.
