The Mooresville Graded School District announced Wednesday the rehiring of Angela Davis as its chief finance officer.

Davis, who previously served in the same role, is rejoining the district’s leadership team to oversee all financial operations. She brings 18 years of school finance experience and a deep understanding of the district’s financial landscape.
As CFO, Davis will be responsible for budget development, financial reporting, payroll, and all other fiscal aspects of the district.
During her previous tenure, she was instrumental in managing the budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and contributing to the district’s long-term financial stability. Her rehire will allow the district to continue building on its long history of a strong financial foundation.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Davis back into the MGSD family,” Superintendent Jason Gardner said. “Her expertise and familiarity with our district’s financial systems are invaluable. We are confident that her leadership will be crucial as we continue to manage our resources effectively and ensure every dollar supports our students’ academic success.”
Davis earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Finance from the University of North Carolina – Pembroke. In addition to MGSD, she has previously worked for Alexander County School District, Iredell-Statesville Schools, and Catawba County School District.
